ABOUT A&E Design Lab

Hello! We’re Allyson & Emily, principal designers at A&E Design Lab. Both of us are prior founders.
(Allyson Strowbridge formed ctrl+shift+space in 2015, and Emily Powers formed Three-Sixty Interiors in 2018).

We formed A&E Design Lab because it was time to join forces and leverage our complementary skills and expertise as accredited interior designers. Basically, we figure two creatives are better than one!

Our goal as partners is to engage in a highly collaborative design experience, while delivering distinctive high-end residential and commercial projects to a wide range of clients.

Our professional vow is to always center the interior (or exterior!) design process around our clients, no matter their style or their needs, we promise to provide the necessary and expert guidance to turn visions into reality.

Allyson

Everyday I appreciate and create beauty in the world. For most of my career I've been improving spaces of one kind or another and truly understand how impactful physical environments can be to one's wellbeing and sense of belonging. I aspire to create sumptuous, smart and stellar designs that not only look fabulous but feel fabulous too.

My purpose is to use beauty as a tool, in order to bring your ideas and visions to life as a team.

I am passionate about customizing my design solutions to incorporate the unique preferences and aesthetic tastes of my clients. Plus I am in love with colors, textures, and patterns - which are always a feature in my creations!

When I’m not planning or experiencing my next travel adventure, I’m hanging out with my family and friends while hiking, boating, camping or just goofing around.

EMILY

Life experience is what influences my personal and unique approach to design, setting me apart from the typical creative. A background in healthcare has given me a better understanding of creating comfortable and functional spaces to enhance my clients’ experience of their environment, and subsequently their quality of life.

My aim is to discover your unique style so we can curate and create dream spaces together.

I am passionate about pushing boundaries in my designs through my love of nature and the tones and textures found within. Plus I am rather obsessed with plants, so my creations include them as much as possible!

I love spending my free time hanging out with my two teens, tending to my gazillion house plants, or snuggling up with my sweet furry pets while listening to some vinyl.
